January Jones’ senior year of high school

Although she’s played parts in movies ranging from Anger Management to X-Men: First Class, actress January Jones is best known for her role as Betty Draper/Betty Francis in the TV series Mad Men. Here she is — on the left, at the Emmy awards, and on the right, as her Mad Men character, Betty:

Before the glamour

But before she moved to New York to start her career, she was a just another student at a high school in South Dakota. We got our hands on a couple copies of her class yearbooks, and found some pictures for you.

These photos of January Jones were taken during 1995 and 1996 — her senior year — at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls. And as you can see, she didn’t blossom after high school… the girl was apparently gorgeous from birth.

Dancing days

Homecoming talk

January Jones was also quoted in the yearbook talking about her thoughts on the rationale for Homecoming: “I honestly feel the whole reason is pretty boys on parade.” (If that’s how she described high schoolers in SD, we wonder how she would characterize most of the people in Hollywood…)
